Life Lately: Summer Reading Edition

Life lately has been all about reading. I've finally gotten into the groove where I can have everyone in bed and house picked up by 9pm. Then I take a shower, get in bed and read for an hour or so. It's been fantastic. It's a couple of hours a week where I am lost in a character's story. I read rather quickly so I read about two books a week. Right now I am finishing up The Girl on the Train.

I can't stop recommending this book to everyone I know! If you haven't read it, you really need to! I haven't even finished reading it and I am obsessed. I hate having to close the book and actually go to bed. This has been my favorite read of the year!

Next up will be "How To Raise an Adult." I am not about parenting books. I think I have only read one other parenting book in my lifetime but after reading a review of this book on Tamara's blog, I am curious to see what the author has to say.

I love a good beach read and Elin Hilderbrand books are perfect beach reads. I read The Matchmaker and loved it. I can't wait to get to The Rumor!

I can't wait until Go Set A Watchman is released on July 14th. I already pre-ordered and will probably spend all my hours gobbling it up. I LOVED LOVED LOVED To kill a Mockingbird and have probably read it at least 20 times so I am really looking forward to reading about the characters when they come together twenty years later!

I love french life books and am looking forward to this fun one: French Women For All Seasons. This book is from the same author as French Women Don't Get Fat which was great. These are fun, quick reads for me but I am obsessed with french women and will read #allthebooks!

Sidenote: I spend a small fortune on books. I don't do Kindles. I need to read an actual book. I love the smell of books. I have been a reading nerd my whole life!

So tell me: Have you read any of these books? What's on your summer reading list?
