We have a special guest on the blog today, Arianna from ariannaknowsbest.blogspot.com!
Arianna is going to share some kid-friendly summer party ideas with you that, in my opinion, are awesome for an end-of-summer celebration!!
Have a Celebrity-Inspired and Kid-friendly Summer!
Summer’s here, and my
house is constantly filled with neighborhood kids looking for something to do.
Privacy? Forget about it! It can only be described as “utter chaos” at times. I
wonder if Brad and Angelina’s kids complain about being bored. I dream about
living the life of a celebrity, where the kids are entertained and I don’t hear
complaints about boredom. My girlfriends and I discussed and decided this was
going to be the summer when we actually do something about it. Here are a few
ideas I came up with some great ideas for celebrity-inspired summer fun!
CELEBRITY
SUMMER: MOVIE PREMIERES – It's summertime, when most majorly
anticipated movies hit the screen. Celebs can hop a private jet to a screening of a blockbuster,
such as “Man of Steel” or “The Lone Ranger”, to strut their stuff on the red
carpet! From Cannes Film Festival to a Hollywood premieres, it sure will be a
busy summer for most celebrities
REALITY
SUMMER: FAMILY TRIP TO THE MOVIES – Twizzlers, 3-D glasses, and
air conditioning? Count me in! You won’t be able to hop that private plane to
see “Despicable Me 2” or “Monsters University”, but you can recreate the entire
movie experience for the kids with no problem!! Grab the kids, head to your
local theater and spend the day at the movies!

SUMMER: “ALICE IN WONDERLAND” THEMED BABY SHOWER-- Kim
K’s makeup artist Joyce Bonelli just welcomed a new baby into her family with
an “Alice in Wonderland” baby shower. Guests were delighted by elaborate
Wonderland décor and crazy culinary delights. There are some great photos on
Kim’s website,
and I’m now looking for an excuse to hold a similar party!

SUMMER: DIY FAVORITE KIDS BOOK THEMED BABY SHOWER -- Find
out the mom-to-be’s favorite childhood
story to use as inspiration. Develop a color scheme, plan the decorations
and don’t forget the games! Here’s a great idea: have the guests write down
their favorite book from childhood and a short summary. Then scrapbook all of
these for the mom-to-be to save for her child’s first trips to the library!
CELEBRITY
SUMMER: MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS – If you’ve got teens in the
house, chances are this awards show will be blasting on your TV this year. And who
can blame them? Stories of Nicki Minaj's crazy outfits or Lady Gaga’s raw meat dress
created a fashion buzz for weeks. And what about the hosts; Who’s jaw wasn’t on
the floor at Russell Brand’s inappropriate Katy Perry comments? This music
event typically includes the best performers and popular radio hits of the year.
Even if you don’t tune in, you’re bound to hear about it on E! News!
REALITY
SUMMER: KARAOKE NIGHT—Hold your own family-friendly music awards night! Rent a karaoke machine, invite
guests to dress up as their favorite musician and let them walk your own
version of the red carpet. Have the crowd vote on their favorites and
have some awards ready to hand out, complete with silly acceptance speeches!
With summer being only
a few short months and the extra time with your kids, try to fit in as much fun
as you can! I hope some of these ideas will inspire you to ‘live the celebrity
lifestyle’ this summer!

Awesome recommendations Ida. Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWe had an Alice in Wonderland themed birthday party this summer! It was probably small potatoes compared to the celebrity kids, but we made it special. I think I love these reality ideas more than the celebrity-themed ones, and I think my kids would too!
