Does your family love waffles? We do! Waffles are a staple on your breakfast must-haves. Most of the time I make waffles from scratch but there are mornings that are crazy where I do not have that extra time to make waffles so I serve my family frozen waffles. My kids don't care whether they are homemade or frozen, as long as waffles are served. We like the Aunt Jemima homestyle waffles and my favorite part is the new resealable bag. I mean it's genius, no more freezer burn on your waffles. The waffles are always fresh and ready to toast.
I needed waffles for Sunday breakfast so I woke up early and went to Publix to pick up a couple bags. They had all the varieties (homestyle, buttermilk, blueberry and lowfat) available and at a great price: $2.99. Also, each package contains 14 waffles now, it used to be 10, so I'm getting a greater value for my money!
Usually, I toast the waffles and serve them with Nutella and strawberries for a quick breakfast on the go but this Sunday, I decided to do something different!
I made Amberly's favorite: Apple Pie Waffles! She loves apples and one day asked me to add apples to her waffles. I couldn't add regular apple slices so I cooked them like I would for apple pie and VOILA! a new family favorite was born!
These waffles are heavenly! They are a special treat and completely unexpected when served. It's two treats in one, apple pie and yummy waffles! Oh and the best part, no messy syrup!
Oh and if the $2.99 price wasn't awesome enough, how about a coupon for $1 off 2?
How do you like your waffles? Any special toppings?
Granny Smith apples are my favorite, and they pair so nicely with sweeter ingredients! #client
