Easter Entertaining Made Easy!

Spring is right around the corner and you know what that means, it's almost time for Easter! I love the Easter holiday, which I like to think of as a season. I love the colors, decorations and the parties, especially the parties! You know I love any excuse to host a get-together in my home and there is always something going on around Easter. I will have my friends over to work on Easter baskets for the kids, host a Spring brunch, play dates for the kids and/or an Easter Egg Hunt. Hosting all these parties has taught me a thing or two about certain essentials I need for stress-free Easter entertaining.

First step is to find a place to set everything up. I like to decorate one main table for get-togethers and parties. I push my dining table all the way back to the wall, put up a banner, a light colored tablecloth and I'm ready to setup. I also use what I have. Since I like to decorate my home for almost every holiday, I have decorations here and there that I can grab and put on my display table.

Next you need fresh flowers. I love to use my white orchids or tulips. If I'm lucky to find some Gerber daisies, I'll use those too. No crazy arrangements either, just pop them in a vase with water and set on your table.

It's not Easter without bunnies or eggs so of course, they will be on my display table. I always re-use the plastic eggs from egg hunts all over the house and on the table. I pop them in vases, baskets, anything to give it an Easter feel!

More bunnies! I borrowed these from the kids stuffed animals collection.

Most important part of any party is the food. I used to go crazy cooking for my parties until I discovered that most people are OK with a quick bite to eat like pizza or macaroni and cheese, especially the kids. The other night I was at Walmart stocking up on essentials like plastic eggs and candy when I decided to wander into the frozen food section. Guess what I found? Stouffers® Family Size Pepperoni Pizza Mac & Cheese. I knew I had to get this for the kids. I also knew that it would be perfect to feed a crowd at my party since it comes in family-size packaging! P.S. it also comes in single-serve varieties (White Cheddar, Garlic Parmesan & Buffalo) so you can have on hand for a quick meal.

Best part of Stouffers® Family-Size Mac & Cheese? It cooks in a little over an hour in the oven. I just popped it in the oven, decorated for my party, got ready and welcomed my guests all while lunch while cooking!

I served the mac & cheese in disposable individual serving cups I found in the Easter section at Walmart. I'm all about convenience and cute!

Last but not least, CHOCOLATE AND CANDY!!! It's not an Easter party without chocolate or candy. I love to keep to a theme so you know I buy egg-shaped candy to fill my plastic eggs. NestlĂ©® Butterfinger® NestEggs are delicious treats every bunny will love! I put a couple (like 3 or 4) into each plastic egg for baskets and for the egg hunt. An egg-cellent Easter is at your fingertips!

Easter entertaining should be easy and fun. You should be able to enjoy your party as much as your guests do! I purchased all the goodies for my party at Walmart. I especially loved their Easter section right by the store entrance. All your Easter essentials in one place!

  3. This looks like so much fun! I love to host themed parties. I think your idea of serving pre-made lasagna is brilliant. I tend to get so bogged down in making everything from scratch, that I run out of time for the fun stuff. Thanks for the inspiration.

  4. Love the party idea. I host Thanksgiving at my house once a year but that's pretty much the end of any formal entertaining. Though I do love to have guests over. This is making me think I should through a spring get together. It's been a long winter in Ohio.
