Cinnamon Sugar Apple Rings

Do you love apples? We do! Sometimes, I like to change things up and over the weekend, I made the kids Cinnamon Sugar Apple Rings. Now gala apples are super delicious on their own but I just wanted to make them something extra special.

Cinnamon sugar apple rings are super easy to make. They remind me of a treat you would get at a state fair!

Cinnamon Apple Sugar Rings
20 minutes

Ingredients:
3-4 medium sized gala apples
1 cup flour
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp granulated sugar
1 cup vegetable oil

For the topping:
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp ground cinnamon

Slice your apples into 1/2in thick slices. Scoop out the core.

In a large skillet pan, heat oil to 350 degrees. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar and cinnamon. Toss slices in flour mixture and then transfer into hot oil. Cook about 2 minutes on each side.

Remove apple slices and drain on a plate covered with paper towels. In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon for the cinnamon sugar topping. Toss warm apple slices in cinnamon sugar mixture.

Serve warm. These apple rings taste like apple pie and would be amazing with some vanilla ice cream!

I made these Cinnamon Sugar Apple Rings for the kids in honor of the release of Disney's Snow White on Blu-Ray™ February 2nd. Snow White is such a classic. My stepdaughter and I truly bond over it. Don't worry, I'm not taking any evil stepmother tips from the movie! I will take any bonding time with my stepkids and usually a movie night is the perfect experience.
