Who has three children, a full-time outside of the home job, kids in youth sports and is a blogger? This lady right here! No I am not superwoman, it's the many roles I have taken on in life. I am busy, busy, busy seven days a week. I don't sleep much (obviously), I barely work out and honestly, sitting down to a full meal is a treat. I am always looking for snacks that I can take with me and keep me going. I want snacks that are treats with the perfect level of sweetness. I need to be in the sweetest of moods to handle all the crazy that comes with raising these three! Here's a typical day in my life:

5:00 a.m.: JC wakes up and goes to the gym. This means that when my wake-up comes along at 6:30 a.m., I'm on my own for the morning routine!

6:30 a.m. I wake up and get ready. I do a quick email and social media check and contemplate going back to bed!

7:00 a.m. I wake up everyone else. I lay out their school uniforms the night before and everyone gets up and gets ready for school.

7:15 a.m. I'm downstairs making coffee, breakfast for the kids, setting up dinner in the slow cooker and packing lunches. While I'm packing lunches, I make sure to throw some snacks in my purse. My days are long and I need my snacks! I love to drink tea and right now I am obsessing on the New Snapple® Straight Up™ Tea which combines refreshing real brewed tea taste with the perfect level of sweetness to enjoy anytime! I also throw some Kellogg's® Nutri-Grain® cereal bars in there since I will probably not be sitting down to have breakfast!

7:50 a.m.: We are out the door. We pile into the car and head out to school and work. I drop the kids off around 8:15 a.m. and head straight to the office. I work as an office manager at an engineering firm from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. During the day, I take a few minutes to enjoy my snacks!

5:20 p.m. I'm picking up the kids from after care and headed out to Adrian's soccer practice. I take this time to enjoy my snacks and do another round of email and social media checks!

6:45 -7 p.m.: We are back home and it's time to finish any homework that wasn't done at aftercare. This involves any homework that needs to be done on the computer and SAT practice worksheets. State testing is in April and these poor kids get so much homework to prepare them for this. While JC helps the kids with homework, I'm finishing dinner which this particular night is roast chicken, rice and beans!

8:00 - 11:00 p.m.: As they finish their dinners, the kids head upstairs to shower, get in pajamas and go to bed. They are all in bed, lights out by 9:00 p.m. the latest. That is my strictest rule as a parent. Kids need their sleep.  At this point, I will grab a basket of laundry, head downstairs and get to work on my blog! I get in spot on the couch with all my essentials and post, respond to comments and emails, chat with blogger friends, edit pictures, etc... all while doing a load of laundry and talking to J.C. while he does some extra work on his computer.

Around 10:30 p.m., JC will shut down his computer and head up to bed. He goes to bed earlier than I do since he gets up earlier to go to the gym.  I will fold clothes, take the dog out, pick up any stray stuff around the house and head upstairs. I will take a shower and be in bed by 11:30 p.m. I try to do some reading for at least half an hour but will usually pass out with the book on my chest.

I wasn't lying when I said we were busy. The weekends aren't any better. Sure, we don't have work or school, but there are sports events, art classes, Crossfit competitions, blog events, a house to clean, groceries to go buy, school projects to complete, family to visit and fun to be had! I'm glad I have my Snapple to give me that burst of sweetness during my busy days!

I purchased the New Snapple® Straight-Up™ Teas at my local Walmart. They were available in the sports drink aisle and by the registers. I also grabbed a couple boxes of Nutri-Grain® bars when I pass by the cereal aisle!

  1. Oh my! We get up at the same time although we do not go to bed at the same time! I cannot stay awake past 9PM during the school year as a parent. I'm not sure why! Our Daughters school starts at 8:10AM so we have early mornings compared to the public school around our area. I guess we just require a lot of sleep, ha! During the summer I enjoy the later nights outside! And soccer hasn't started up yet for us. We just had spring sign ups. :)

  3. Wow! And yes, I do go 100mph. I try to slow down but it's hard lately with working and blogging and parenting. I can't wait for summer, to be honest, but then I'll lose all the alone time I have right now!
