Confident Through Motherhood

Motherhood changed my life. In 2006, when I gave birth to Adrian, I honestly had no idea what I had gotten myself into.  I thought I was ready. I thought it would all come naturally to me. Boy was I wrong! It took me months, maybe even years to feel confident in my role as a mother. Now? Now, I am totally confident to walk around as "Adrian's mom and Amberly & Gian's step-mom" I actually know what I am doing, 99% of the time!!

One of the things that I wasn't told about was the aftermath of childbirth. I had no idea that from that day on I wouldn't be able to sneeze, laugh or cough without having to cross my legs. At first, I thought it would go away, but here we are eight years later and I am a pro-leg crosser! I found out this is called Stress Urinary Incontinence or SUI. Most women will suffer from SUI after pregnancy and childbirth. It's definitely hard to feel confident as a mother, even a woman, when you can't sneeze without some body-wriggling. I knew there had to be something out there that would be able to help! I was searching online on CVS.com and found Poise Impressa Bladder Supports

I ordered the Poise Impressa Bladder supports and they arrived just a few days later. Poise Impressa Bladder supports come in different sizes. You start with Size 1 and insert the bladder support as you would a tampon. If Size 1 does not fit correctly, then you move up to Size 2 or Size 3. The sizing is not about how much you leak or how much you weigh. It's all about the best internal fit for you!

.
Poise Impressa looks and functions like a tampon BUT it does not absorb leaks, it helps prevent them. They can be worn for up to 8 hours in a 24 hour period. It's a soft, flexible internal device with a non-absorbent outer cover, designed for the temporary management of SUI. I've started using them and believe me it's helped out so much.

This cutie pie made me a mom. Sure, it might have come with stretch marks, weight gain, a little SUI and maybe some gray hairs but I wouldn't change a thing! I'm ready to laugh at all his jokes and cheer him on in the sidelines with confidence!

I now laugh with confidence thanks to Poise Impressa. What about you?

  1. I've been hearing about this product but never actually saw it, thanks for the review. I used Depend liners, pads and underwear.

  2. Kids have definitely changed our lives, sometimes in positive ways and .... sometimes not. I love that there are solutions that work to help with some of those changes. #client
