Making Memories with Walmart Best Plans

Mother's Day this year was one of the best Mother's Day I have ever had. Not only did I spend time celebrating with my son and mom, I was also able to celebrate a special woman in my life, Adrian's grandmother on his dad's side. Usually when a couple breaks up, there can be friction with your ex's parents. Not in my case. I consider Adrian's grandmother a second mother and she considers me one of her very own. This woman is so strong, has so many stories of her immigration here to the U.S. and about her children to share with others. She is a kind soul who would never refuse help to those in need. I knew she needed a special treat for Mother's Day so I bought her a new cell phone through Walmart Family Mobile which includes unlimited talk, text and data/web.

Adrian's grandmother has 10 grandchildren ranging in ages from 3 to 12. She, at one point or another, has helped to raise every single one. She is always available to take care of one or more if they are sick or if we need a babysitter. She raises two of her grandchildren, Ivanna and her brother Ismaily, full-time. She is their legal guardian since their mother suffers from mental issues and cannot raise them. At 64 years old, this is definitely not an easy task. I help as much as I can but you can tell it's tough on her. She does not complain.

Recently, Ismaily was playing with her phone, dropped it and cracked the screen. She failed to mention this to me and I only found out when Ivanna told me. With Mother's Day coming up, I knew that a new cell phone would be a great gift. I purchased the ZTE Zinger since I knew the simpler, the better for her. She loved it. I also told her that I would pay for her monthly service as well. With this new phone, she is able to talk to her son and grandchildren living in Texas, her church friends here in Miami and her family back in DR without a problem. She is able to create memories with those that aren't as close to her as Adrian and I are. Now, next time I come over to visit and have a cafécito, she will be ready with new stories to share!!
